Organization of my site

I have organized my site with 4 different exibits that will allow you to see how Chinese people were Received from the 1850 and how it changed throughout time until the 1950's.

I have included content such as newspapers, images, documents, and an interactive map for you to learn and become interested on the reception of Chinese people to America. I hope you enjoy my website as much as I did when I was making it.

As I specified before, I have provided four different exibits and one collection. My four exibits are as follows: Americans Against the Chinese, Beginning of Chinese in America, From Negative to Positive Reception, and Major Source of Negative Reception.

In Americans Against the Chinese, you will see two sections. One, Chinese Immigration. Maintain the National Faith, and a second second section named Communication from the Mechanics' State Council of California in Relation to Immigration. These two sections will give you an understanding of why the Chinese were not wanted in the United States.

Beginning of Chinese in America explains the main reason why Chinese migrated to the United States and why they stayed for a long time.

The exibit: From Negative to Positive Reception, shows different documents and evidence that will allow you to see the reasons why Chinese started to get welcomed back in America, but still having some regulations on their entry and stay.

On Major Source of Negative Reception, I have added a section exclusively for the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 because I believe that is the most important document of Chinese migration and reception to the United States.

On each exibit, I have added information and visuals that make sense and that tie my thoughts together to help you have a better understanding of the situation of reception with chinese immigrants from 1850 to 1950.
