This site will guide you through researched and cited information about the reception of Chinese people in the United States during the large migration of chinese labor to the west coast of the United States from 1850 to 1950. Throughout these years, there were many social and political changes which made progress towards the betterment of Chinese Reception and naturalization in the United States.

When you look through the exibits on this site, you will be able to see many documents, newspaper adds, pamphlets, and visualizations that show changes of how Chinese immigrants were received in the United States throughout the years, and allow you to draw your own conclusions about how the United States changed as a nation to accomodate the large immigration of chinese workers to the west coast of the United States.
